Changing How Change Feels

Almost everyone is trying to get out of some kind of abuse: A violent partner. A toxic boss. Negative self-talk. An economic system that treats people as disposable.

The patterns are the same. The transition from bad to good always starts with seeing your circumstances clearly.

Real Belonging is a brand, a business, and a daily practice built on the conviction that everyone deserves genuine inclusion and care — and that everyone has the capacity to create belonging for the people around them.

Belonging is a learnable skill. I’m here to help you learn what matters to you.

Warmly,
Brandyn Gallagher, M.Ed.

Relationship Reality Check

Relationship Reality Check is a fifteen-minute weekly check-in that helps you see your relationships clearly, recognize patterns before they escalate, and stay grounded in what’s actually, observably true about your relationship.

Who it’s for: Anyone in a relationship. Especially helpful for survivors of child abuse or domestic violence, or anyone who has ever learned to question your own perception of what’s normal.

What it solves: The fog. That creeping uncertainty about whether what you’re experiencing is okay. The tendency to rationalize harm because it’s not the worst harm. The difficulty of trusting your own assessment when someone else is invested in you not seeing clearly.

Why it works: It is pure data. It’s not therapy. It doesn’t try to be. It’s a structured fifteen-minute check-in with the same tool I built to get myself out of an abusive relationship when I was eighteen — and the same tool I still use today in a healthy one, because having clarity is always helpful.

In 20 years of using this tool, I’ve only ever regretted the relationships where I didn’t bother to use it.

Wealth Sharing Is What We Do Around Here

RealBelonging.Shop runs fundraisers that pay $1.25 from every qualifying item sold through referral links to trans-inclusive and LGBTQ+ organizations, as well as direct mutual aid to LGBTQ+ individuals.

This isn’t charity bolted onto a business. It’s the operating principle behind Real Belonging: businesses can share wealth rather than hoarding it. In a world too often running on exploitation, sharing the wealth is a deliberate choice to sustain communities and life itself. It is one part of how we make belonging real.

If your trans-inclusive organization in the United States (sorry, it’s a tax thing) wants to partner as a fundraising recipient, sign up here, and please reach out if you have any questions!
