“You can only measure 3 percent of what matters.”

Dr. W. Edwards Demming

I am intuitive, but my great-grandma taught me to get down-to-it-ive, too. I don’t hesitate to roll up my sleeves and do the work that needs done, in service to the collective good, and aligned with Spirit and conscience.

Who I Am & Why I Do This Work

Autistic pattern-recognition means I’m always looking to understand the whole system at work—not just what’s happening on the surface, but the underlying system holding it all in place. If something isn’t working, I don’t rush to fix the symptom; I step back, ask good questions, and look for the root causes.

When we understand the why, we can sustainably change the what.

With a background in Social Psychology, Organizational Leadership, and Adult Learning, I understand how trauma and unhealed misunderstandings shape how we communicate, and how effectively we function together. Helping people build trust and mutual respect is not just something I’m good at—it’s work I deeply enjoy.

This work is personal, relational, spiritual, and grounded in a lifetime of learning across cultures, classrooms, and communities. I’ve spent two decades immersed in community healing and learning, direct service, and organizational systems change. My personal experience, along with international travel and time spent learning with Indigenous elders, informs how I approach conversations about race, gender, class, faith, and (dis)ability.

I’ve worked with nonprofits, school districts, public health leaders, families, churches, and C-suite executives—helping each client reconnect to what matters most and build environments where people thrive. Sometimes that looks like a policy review. Sometimes it’s a heartfelt conversation. And my favorite? When a team sits down with paint markers and mirrors to create something fun, messy, and unexpectedly transformative.

Why I Started This Work

I didn’t mean to end up a consultant for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in an age when simply respecting, and being kind to, our fellow human beings would be considered controversial—although my 11th grade Asian Studies teacher would be proud of me for doing so.

I started this work because I saw people getting hurt—usually not by malice, but by misunderstanding.

At the start of my public health career, I worked under the mentorship of Native American social scientists who laid the foundation for understanding systemic barriers to equality.

Since then, I’ve frequently worked directly with people in crisis—domestic violence, HIV client services, homelessness, 911 dispatch, and crisis relief for minoritized communities. I’ve seen up close how systems that were supposed to support people often broke them instead. I realized that real change doesn’t happen from the top down; it happens when people finally feel heard.

It happens when people finally are heard.

That understanding carried me into advocacy and adult soft skills education. Since 2014, I’ve delivered tailored training and leadership support around inclusion, belonging, and structural change to federal, organizational, and local systems. Sometimes that means standing in front of a room with a slideshow. More often, it looks like one-on-one strategy sessions, team-based coaching, or co-creating change through hands-on, relationship-centered work.

My career is rooted in collective healing—guided by a deep respect for natural consequences, healthy boundary-setting, and designing life and leadership to honor the laws of nature. When you design in alignment with nature, you grow well.

Growing well is exactly what I help people and organizations do.

Top 5 Clifton Strengths

1. Connectedness

Everything happens for a reason, and every person has an invaluable role in your life.

When teams break down, it’s often because we forget this simple truth. If we fail to love others as ourselves – or fail to love ourselves – our teams, families, and communities will suffer until we reconnect with our true purpose in this web of life.

2. Context

We didn’t get where we are by magic.

We reap what we sow.

We only get fruits from the plants we’ve chosen to water. Neglecting one another will never nourish us.

I have extensively studied the context in which we exist, and I know how to help people achieve their most beautifully inspired goals in spite of a rough start.

Where you see an apple, I see the whole orchard. Where you see a spot on fruit, I see a lack of nitrogen in the root system.

Where you see a bully in the workplace, I see centuries of trauma and systems that reward the behavior you’re trying to address—and practical, evidence-based ways to address it so everyone can feel Real Belonging.

3. Belief

I believe in addressing personal shortcomings by dealing with them – and I also believe this can be handled with grace, dignity, respect, and reason. Everyone deserves support to be the version of themself that makes their inner child feel at peace about who they grew up to become.

I’ve dedicated my life and career to helping people make their inner child proud – as well as safe, healthy, and interconnected.

4. Developer

You have boundless potential. My role is to nurture you – sometimes through encouragement, sometimes by presenting challenges, but always in service to your growth and the overall health of your team.

The world is a better place when you heal, thrive, and influence others to do the same. Let’s make it happen.

5. Communication

Get ready to ask questions!

My education and career experience have prepared me well to explain hundreds of vital topics around human interactions and related causes with ease, precision, and clarity – so you can quickly understand the relevant dynamics for your team and learn how to navigate them effectively.
