Identity shapes how we experience the world, how others perceive us, and how we interact with the spaces we move through. But too often, misunderstandings, tension, shame, or uncertainty get in the way of meaningful connection. Whether you’re a leader trying to build a more inclusive workplace, an individual navigating your own identity, or someone feeling misunderstood in today’s social climate, I help cut through the confusion, ease the pressure, and bring clarity to complex conversations.
My ability to explain gender and related concepts, support inclusive best practices, and teach people how to get along with those of different genders is my strongest expertise.
I facilitated inclusion and cultural responsiveness training for the HPTN/HVTN’s AMP Study in 2016, an international clinical research trial which enrolled transgender men for the first time in history.
On the Division of AIDS (DAIDS) Cross-Network Transgender Working Group, I educated institutional leaders and staff, and collaborated with a diverse team to create appropriate training materials for including transgender and intersex participants in clinical studies funded by the NIH in 2017.
With expertise in Social & Organizational Psychology and a deep understanding of race, gender, (dis)ability, faith, and cultural identity, I help organizations and individuals navigate these complexities with clarity, mutual respect, and strategic action.
For Workplaces & Leaders
If you’re unsure how best to support a minoritized employee—or you feel on edge every time they walk in, worried about accidentally saying the wrong thing or facing a harassment complaint—let’s clear the air and help you engage more authentically.
✔ Practical Inclusion Support – Helping you implement real-world strategies for inclusion without unnecessary tension.
✔ Pronouns, Language, & Culture – Training teams (at all levels of understanding) on respectful communication that actually sticks.
✔ Addressing Race, Bias, & Workplace Tension – Facilitating honest conversations so small issues don’t become big problems.
✔ Breaking Free from the “Chinese Finger Trap” – If workplace inclusion feels like a no-win situation, you’re probably pulling too hard in the wrong direction. I’ll help you apply the right leverage to ease the tension.
There’s no reason to be walking on eggshells, when we can instead build healthy workplaces where everyone can do their job without unnecessary friction.
For Individuals Navigating Identity
Maybe you’re questioning your gender, race, or place in the world, and you need someone who understands identity at a deep level to help you sort through what’s real and what’s merely noise coming from the outside.
✔ If you’re questioning gender – Whether you’ve just realized you’re trans, think you might be, care about someone who is, or are totally confident you’re cisgender but just don’t understand all this “trans stuff,” I’ll meet you where you are and answer your questions.
✔ If you’re struggling with societal labels – Do people keep calling you racist just because you’re white, and no one will explain why, but you genuinely want to understand? Let’s have an honest conversation. I appreciate anyone brave enough to ask for help when they don’t know something already.
✔ If a loved one just came out or is in a relationship you don’t approve of – Do you have big feelings and don’t want to lose the relationship over simple misunderstandings? Let me help you consider things from different perspectives, and give your loved one the chance to be understood by you.
Bridging the Gaps in Understanding
When we’re all genuinely on the same team, there’s no reason for anyone to be hurt or upset. So when that happens, it is a clear sign a miscommunication has occurred.
✔ If you’re feeling misunderstood, I can help translate and equip you with strong communication tools.
✔ If you’re feeling frustrated, I can help you pinpoint why and what to do.
✔ If you’re feeling lost, I can help you find clarity in your compass.
Wherever you are in your personal healing and growth journey, that’s where I’ll meet you—with the focus, insight, and support you need to become your healthiest, most fulfilled, most authentic self.
Effective leadership requires seeing the whole picture. Let’s build a reality where everyone around us is valued, understood, and supported.
